Plain and simple portable drives that are easy to use, light and easy to carry, and require no power adaptor - they are powered directly through the USB cable.

It clicks - I bought this about eight months ago and it works well with one exception. It makes a rather loud and irritating clicking noise whenever it s writing data to it. It didn t bother me until i started to fill it up and now i m worried that these clicking noises mean it s on it s last legs. Also, from time to time Windows XP claims the device has malfunctioned and cannot be recognised. I think this may be a Win XP problem, however, as my linux box has no similar problems.

Brilliant Little Harddrive! - This arrived two days ago, and was excellent from the word go. it takes a while to come up on your computer, but has loads of free space which is brilliant for backing up movies or music or whatever. Much smaller and compacted than expected, very cool metal and has little rubber protectors on the ends. Great buy, very cheap, brillant little harddrive.

WOW - 250GB mobile hard drive for under £80 - Just ordered 1 of these little gems - did have a 160GB version (WDE1MS1600BE) Which i bought from Amazon for just £49.99 -it is a top quality drive and has done me well - need more space now so this is the only one for me - My advice is buy the largest capacity you can afford and stick to WD
